INDONESIA IN 2022 FROM AN ASTROLOGY PERSPECTIVE: ON THE BRINK OF CHAOS
Indonesia will be one of the states/countries that will be affected by Rahu and Ketu’s transit to the Aries-Libra Axis. Being a Libra Rising, it is natural for Indonesia to be a non-bloc country, but what people often misunderstood was.. being a Libra Ascendant/Rising doesn’t mean you’re balanced as an Individual or even a country. Libra’s life is full of imbalanced things, that is why they always try to balance everything out. Being the natural 7th house, you would expect them to be a people pleaser and they are. But being a people pleaser doesn’t mean they’re stupid. Most Libra knew they can get anywhere they want as long as other people support them. Libra is the most diplomatic sign and no, not all of them fancy taking advantage of other people. Their main goal was to have independence because they knew that being dependent on others sucks and this is one thing they will realize sooner or later. Libra was Saturn’s exaltation sign, Saturn love to be in Libra because that means he can take care of other people, but Saturn also will teach them boundaries through their experience taking care of other people.
But in the case of a country…. Everyone knew Indonesia doesn’t like to get involved in a conflict and pick sides unless it was colonialism or land occupation like what Israel did with Palestine. This is the perfect embodiment of a Libra Rising Country. Libra hates conflict, they don’t like violence. But in the case of a country, it’s a different kind of interpretation. Indonesia might be a country whose foreign policy is against any kind of violence, but inside the country… is a different case.
Indonesia has Mars and Uranus conjunct in its 8th house. Mars in the 8th house is like Mars in Scorpio. It is the kind of Mars that will plan everything secretly, underground. This shows Indonesia is actually pretty good when it comes to war planning. Mars in the 8th house is great for War, but the downside was… it can promote misuse of power too. I once learned from Kapiel Raaj that Uranus behaves like Rahu because it rotates differently from other planets. So, imagine having Mars and Rahu in the 8th house….. if this happens to a person, I’ll bet he/she will have anger and control issues. But if this happens in a country, you can certainly bet the country will have control issue too, especially regarding power because the 8th house is a powerhouse even though it is considered to be an unstable house.
The problem with the year 2022 was the fact that Ketu will transit in Indonesia’s 1st house and was in the Nakshatra of Vishakha during Indonesia’s 2022 Independence Day Celebration a.k.a Solar Return. Vishakha is a Nakshatra that has a forked branch of staff as its symbol. It means this Nakshatra promotes a Split. Either in behavior, mind, etc. This Nakshatra was ruled by Lord Indra, The King of the Devas, and Lord Agni, The Fire God. Lord Indra has this tendency to be insecure about people taking over his power. So you can bet 100% that a lot of politicians or people in power will behave from an insecure state of mind of losing their power or throne.
Other than insecurities of losing power, this Nakshatra could promote ethnic conflict too. Vishakha could make someone overproud of their origins. The Devas were known in Vedic as the enemy of the Asuras when really they’re actually relatives to each other and born from the same Father. Because this Nakshatra correlated to Lord Indra, this might also make racial or ethnic or even conflict regarding religion happen and become a big concern.
A lot of political breakups are very possible to happen between a politician(s) and their party. The demonstration is also something that will happen frequently throughout 2022 for Indonesia. Looking back at USA’s Rahu-Ketu transit to their 1st-7th house axis, they do face a lot of demonstrations, right? But for Indonesia…. During the Solar Return, Rahu will be in Bharani Nakshatra. Bharani Nakshatra is the #1 Nakshatra that promotes Revolution. Well, I don’t know whether the demonstration will reach a point where it became a revolution or not. But one thing I know for sure, there will be policies, a change of policy, that will promote this to happen.
Rahu will conjunct Uranus and MOON in the 7th house of Indonesia during its Solar Return. They will be in Bharani Nakshatra, all of them. Bharani Nakshatra was ruled by Lord Yama, the God of Death and Justice. Lord Yama, during his childhood (from Navagraha Puranas book), always reminds himself and others of dharma and being honest. He dislikes the slightest hint of deception or foul play. IF this comes to fruition that the Government or Politician tries the slightest act of deception through law….. you can bet that it will be chaotic.
Bharani Nakshatra also promotes restriction… because if we actually realize, the law was made to restrict us to do some things that are considered to be unethical. So be prepared to see more laws become stricter. Since Rahu is the one who will be transitting Bharani and Rahu is a rebel, of course, people will protest it. But there will be some out-of-the-box politicians who will act like a rebel in order to gain people’s trust (and vote). But bruh, I don't trust whoever this person is.
The politics will be very strange and there will be a lot of changes that will be made when it comes to public policy. The #1 body that will be very strange will be the House of Representatives though. Because Moon is with Rahu-Uranus in Bharani and Moon is the 10th house lord that rule the House of Representative.
Venus, the 1st house lord, will be in Cancer during the Solar Return and form a mutual aspect with Saturn Retrograde and Pluto Retrograde. Last year, the progression’s Rising was Aries and Mars was in Leo, didn’t form any mutual aspect with Saturn. But this time, the Lagna Lord will form a mutual aspect with Saturn Retrograde, AND Saturn himself will aspect the 1st house through its 10th aspect. Saturn has this ability to make a king become a beggar when he aspect the 10th house and 1st house of that person. But he didn’t do it without a reason. Saturn will go Retrograde for the last time in Capricorn, it happened to be during Indonesia’s Solar Return, and in Indonesia’s 4th house from Natal Chart and Solar Return will make everything that was unfinished, will be finished. Every unethical deed that happens during his transit to Capricorn will come to light. He is the karma giver.
The fact that Venus, the Lagna and 8th house lord, will have a mutual aspect with Saturn will show that some people will face a fall from grace. There might be some information that will make people completely surprised because Venus will overlap Indonesia’s Natal Pluto in the 10th house. Also, there might be some issues regarding the new capital. Everything that was ruled by the 4th house such as land, real estate, internal affairs, commodities, and cars will probably face a problem. There might be a lot of other fraud scandals coming up. I’m actually wondering whether the Hambalang Case will be opened again or not though.
Mars, the 7th house lord, will be in the 8th house in Krittika Nakshatra. I’ve written about Krittika Nakshatra with the conclusion that this is the Nakshatra that correlated with War but not because this Nakshatra wants to conquer something but because something was taken from it. Krittika was also the Nakshatra that signifies police or army (in fact Mars also represents police and army), so if something related to a split of internal conflict between/in police or army happened, then it is the effect of Mars in Krittika in the 8th house. Also, there might be a conflict with a Neighboring country because of this.
Indonesia’s Government should be careful with Separatists and terrorist movements though. During my research, I discover several acts carried out by Russia’s Chechnya Separatists and also several terrorist acts carried out during Rahu’s transit to Aries. During my research regarding the Chechnya separatist movement, they actually bomb 2 (two) commercial airplanes. I knew the government considers the Papua Merdeka Organization a terrorist organization now. So, Separatist and/or terrorist acts will probably come to a point where it is very threatening because Bharani Nakshatra is the Nakshatra of Extremism. It has this dark side that mixes love and death together. It is willing to sacrifice itself in the name of love and devotion. In fact, a famous terrorist Imad Mughniyeh has some Bharani Nakshatra Placement on his D9 Chart. So if you are the type of person who says things like “I’ll love you even though death separates us” or “I’ll kill for you”, you should check whether you have Bharani Nakshatra placement in your D1 or D9 chart.
Up until July, probably the demonstration won’t be that intense, but by July 2022, if the politicians still push the agenda to amend the UUD 1945 or to delay the election, it will become chaos. I’ll bet some politicians will still push this agenda because they will underestimate the civilians. The thing is, this is also a part of Vishakha’s story.
Vishakha Nakshatra relates to the initiation of Samudra Manthan or Churning of the Ocean of Milk. The story begins when Lord Indra was given a garland by Sage Durvasa, but then Lord Indra placed the Garland on his Elephant’s forehead. Airavata, Lord Indra’s Elephant, was disturbed by the Garland and throw it to the ground then stomp on it with his foot. Feeling insulted, Sage Durvasa curse Swarga (the kingdom of the Devas) to vanish without a trace including its wealth, the musicians, servants, etc. Of course, Lord Indra didn’t mean to disrespect Sage Durvasa, but Sage Durvasa feel insulted by that. There is this quality to Vishakha Nakshatra that can make people who were affected by this Nakshatra underestimate an action or a situation or even other people which make them end up being the one who suffers the consequences of having a fall from grace. So if there is a scenario where the politician underestimates the people’s power, let’s see whether this story will play out or not.
By November, Mars will retrograde in Taurus, which is Indonesia’s 8th house and also the sign where Indonesia’s Natal Mars resides. There is a potentially violent demonstration to happen during Mars’ retrogression this year. Besides, Indonesia will be on the path of the Total Lunar Eclipse in November 2022. November can be very wild.
ARIES SEASON 2022 (14 April — 15 May)
Aries Season is just the beginning of it all. But you can bet during Aries Season, the politicians and government will be so full of themselves. This is because Rahu will be in Aries by the start of Aries Season. Rahu in Krittika can make someone become very selfish and hungry for power. Ferdinand Marcos, the Philippines’ famous dictator came into power during Rahu’s transit in Krittika.
Mercury will be in Bharani during the start of Aries Season, this can make a new stricter policy regarding freedom of speech or a policy regarding the media and maybe travel to be introduced or brought into the discussion. I think this will be about Social Media though.
I actually opened a Prashna for Indonesia in April 2022 and there is a possibility that a financial problem will come up during Aries Season. The Government might fish out a big amount of money and there might be another new piece of information regarding the new Capital City that sparks another debate. Nothing too big yet.
So far, Aries season will be the month of the Government’s Circus. But maybe there will be a cabinet reshuffle though, especially after April 12th, that might spark a conflict within some political parties. Also, since Mars was aspecting the 2nd house on the prashna, there might be someone who said some inappropriate things that make people angry. Since Aries season will be a prominent fiery season, a crisis related to clean water or drought might happen too. Also, there might be an explosion that happens related to an oil or chemical facility or carrier.
In terms of the Ukraine-Russia war, I saw a possibility that it will escalate more by the end of April… all the way to May. Especially with the fact that the US and Europe will be on the Total Lunar Eclipse path that will happen on May 15th.
TAURUS SEASON 2022 (15 May — 15 June)
Well, Taurus Season concerned me because there is a possibility that an assassination attempt will happen. I just wish this is a revelation about assassination attempts though. There is something related to this or a big fraud that will come to light. Other than that, there is a possibility that an accident related to a vessel or oil refinery facility happen.
Saturn in Aquarius during the start of Taurus Season can cause a problem for the stock market though since Aquarius is Indonesia’s 5th house. I discover this year that Jupiter’s transit to a country’s 5th house made the national Stock Market value goes really high. But now that it is Saturn…. He might cause some limitations regarding the stock market that make it crash. We will see, I am still analyzing and observing this matter.
Mercury Retrograde conjunct Sun in the start of Taurus season will definitely make the government say the wrong things, make the wrong decision, and regret a lot of things. But Nah, we are used to the Government’s policy-swing right. But of course, people will be pissed since Mars aspect both Sun and Mercury Retrograde. There is a possibility that a financial policy or a big plan to be revised or changed during this season or may be canceled. I actually think something this has something to do with the new law that the House of Representatives passes in January 2022. Because they actually passed those laws during Mercury Retrograde, so something will happen to those laws or one of them by May-June 2022.
There is indeed an indication for a follow-up demonstration but I think it will be a regular demonstration. The concerning one will start during Gemini Season.
GEMINI SEASON 2022 (15 June — 17 July)
For Gemini Season, something fishy is happening. Venus will closely conjunct Rahu at the beginning of the season. This could show that there is a bribery or corruption case whose perpetrators actually ‘get away’ with it. This could also play out as a change that befalls the law or the nation because Venus is Indonesia's 1st house lord. It honestly can become another factor that leads to this ‘mass anger’ that Indonesian people will feel in July 2022.
You know, I actually just realized something. Whenever Jupiter transit Aquarius-Pisces, Indonesia will face a big demonstration. The last time this happened was in 2010 and 1998. We shall see whether this hypothesis came true or not by 2034 when Jupiter transit Aquarius again. It actually takes place when Jupiter enters Aquarius from January… all the way to the end of the year.
During Gemini Season, Saturn is already in retrogression in Aquarius and he will aspect Venus, Rahu, and Uranus. Honestly, having Saturn Retrograde at the beginning of the season is kinda concerning. I know Saturn Retrograde happened every year, but the problem is, this year he will retrograde from Indonesia’s 5th house to the 4th house. The natural 5th house sign is Leo and it was ruled by Sun. So I am concerned this would bring a result like a Saturn-Sun conjunction.
Sun-Saturn conjunction and mutual aspect is a contributing factor to demonstrations or protests. Whenever they conjunct or mutual aspect or Saturn aspect Sun, you can see that there are demonstrations in several countries, even a big one. So, I will definitely expect another demonstration or protest by June, this time a big one because Mars will conjunct Jupiter in Pisces, and Mars is Indonesia’s 7th house lord. I don’t know honestly whether there will be violence or not. There is an indication of it since Mars aspect the 12th house, but he was with Jupiter and Jupiter always minimize the damage of every bad thing.
There will be an event that led Indonesia to ‘lose’ something. Financially or just a reputation thing. This might befall the country, the government, a Judge/Prosecutor, or someone in the House of Representatives. Someone or some people might be looking for some mistake that eventually lead to this event.
There is a highlight in the law, religion, expatriate, diaspora, culture/ethnic, and education departments. So the big topic for Gemini season will revolve around this matter. Maybe someone related to those departments will be jailed or say something very rude that makes people angry.
There might also be a new law/regulation regarding insurance and/or tax regarding luxury or expensive things or cars. This could also manifest in a revelation about corruption/fraud/manipulation of tax regarding luxury things or cars. This clearly has something to do with luxury or expensive things and cars because the main factor is Venus. But Venus is also the ruler of speculative businesses like stock markets, crypto, and the gambling industry. Most people say this is Mercury but in my observation, Venus was actually the one that rule it. There also might be another data leak or hacking that befall Indonesia. Well, the country is famous for this anyway so it won’t be a surprise.
CANCER SEASON 2022 (17 July — 17 August)
Well, this is the season that I’m concerned about the most. Mars and Rahu will conjunct at the beginning of the season. Mars and Rahu, when conjunct, form a yoga called Angarak Yog that is often become the cause of massive amounts of fire and violence. The last time this conjunction happen was in February 2021 up to April 2021.
We all knew Myanmar had a Coup d’etat that led to massive protests by the civilians, but March was the month that people described as the deadliest month for the Coup protests. The problem for 2022 was Mars will conjunct not only Rahu but also Uranus. They will conjunct in the same Nakshatra which is Bharani Nakshatra. Maybe if this potential didn’t take place in Indonesia, I’m sure it will take place in other countries.
What makes me believe there will be a big uproar in Indonesia or other countries was the fact that Saturn and Sun will also have mutual aspects in Cancer Season. So, not only Mars-Uranus-Rahu will be this factor that contributes to the possibility of the protests happening, but Saturn and Sun will also contribute to this possibility.
Sun and Mercury will conjunct in Cancer, Punarvasu Nakshatra, by the beginning of the season. Punarvasu is another Nakshatra that has this story of Lord Rama where he is exiled by his step-mother from his Kingdom. He lost his throne and then his wife was kidnapped, so there is this side story where he went to war to rescue his wife with the help of Hanuman and the Vanaras. After that, he got his wife back and got his throne back too.
The story could manifest in 2 ways, either someone will be ousted or ‘exiled’ because of some kind of serious accusation, and their friends or a lot of people will defend them because this person might be innocent, or it could manifest as the government telling so many reasons to defend whatever it is they are doing because Mercury will be combust with Sun holding the lowest degree.
This could also play out as the government will try to push the agenda of postponing the election again because after all, Mercury rules election. Punarvasu is also the Nakshatra that is related to Castor and Pollux, whenever a planet come under its influence, it can make us do something twice to succeed it. So the first attempt might fail, but when we try it for the 2nd time, there is a high chance it might succeed. That theme could play out as something that faces failure, and finally, succeed after 2nd attempt. I do want to see how this manifests.
There is a possibility of something happening related to pilgrimage or hospital or jail. This could manifest as a scandal coming up, maybe about corruption or dispute or even fraud related to this, or this could manifest as an accident related to these activities.
During this season, there might be a lot of accidents related to earthquakes, floods, and fire. For Indonesia, I see a possibility of an earthquake happening, maybe more than 5SSR. There is also a possibility of an explosion related to a car or a building (could be a home or an office building) that could happen. Another thing that might happen is shootings. I’m concerned that there is a possibility that shootings will happen in Indonesia.
When the season start, Moon was in Aquarius. In a birthchart, this indicates Sade Sati and Sade Sati is not scary but it is a very karmic time, but one thing is for sure, Sade Sati makes us mentally disturbed as in constant worry and stressful things kept happening, also the pressure from other people. So, Cancer Season might bring a lot of pressure, not only to the government but also on us. But if we do something unethical during Sade Sati, we might be put to justice.
I opened a Prashna for Mars’ position during the start of Cancer Season and There is a possibility that a sudden change happen regarding the police/military/law/public policy that will make people angry. Why angry? Because Moon is in mutual aspect with Mars in this Prashna and Venus is conjunct with Mars while being the 8th house lord.
We should see and watch out for further development of how things manifest by June 2022. Because whatever happens in June 2022 will get worse by July 2022.
LEO SEASON 2022 (17 August — 17 September)
This is the season when Indonesia will have its Solar Return. You can see the Solar Return chart that I put above. Moon-Rahu-Uranus will conjunct in the 7th house. This is good for business, but it can also indicate a disturbed mind. Moon, when conjunct Rahu, can make someone easily deceived or provoked. So if there is something, the slightest thing, that provokes the people (because Moon is the mass/civilians and 7th house is the house of the mass/civilians), they can believe it blindly. We have to maintain this sense of critical thinking towards everything and anything we hear, read, and see in this season. Not only for Indonesians but also for other people in general because this season will start when Moon is in conjunction with Rahu.
Mars himself will be in the 8th house in the Solar Return chart, it might make us easily frustrated and angry about anything that takes too much time to process. There might also be something that was planned secretly during this season. A change also likely will happen regarding and/or related to the House of Representatives.
Indonesia had Jupiter and Neptune conjunction in its Natal Chart, and during this Solar Return, Jupiter and Neptune will conjunct opposite the Natal Jupiter-Neptune. There might be something that will come out regarding foreigners/foreign power. Neptune usually will bring out scandals or scams, so probably either scandals or scams. Since Jupiter is the 3rd and 6th house lord, this could have something to do with spy or espionage. It can also manifest as something that has a connection to Immigrant Workers or the embassy.
Indonesia’s Natal Ketu will be activated after the Solar Return and the Natal Ketu was in the Nakshatra of Purva Ashadha. The Ashadhas are the Nakshatra that is related to Kurukshetra War. In fact, the Russian Invasion begins when Mars and Venus are in this Nakshatra. It is located in the 3rd house, so we might see some heated up conflict between Indonesia and its neighboring countries up til 2023.
Other than possibilities of conflict with neighboring countries, there is a possibility that another conflict related to religion or culture will happen again. The Kurukshetra war that become the big theme of the Ashadhas Nakshatra was a war between the Pandavas and the Kurus. They are actually related by blood to each other. The conflict escalated when Duryodhana, the oldest of the Kauravas brothers, didn’t want to fulfill his promise to give back the land to the Pandavas despite them having fulfilled their promise to go into exile for 13 years and transfer all their lands to the Kauravas because of a game of dice that they lost and Duryodhana deceitfully won. This story might play out in the North or Eastern part of Indonesia.
I don’t know whether this will manifest the way I think it will or not, but I see a possibility that a topic regarding a law for Black Magic might surface after the Solar Return or before the Solar Return. There might be a dispute that involves black magic that makes it become a hot topic.
A big flood might happen during Leo Season and there might be some accident-related to wind too (like cyclones, tornadoes, or typhoons). The topic of clean air and ventilation might also surface during this season.
UPDATE — May 24th 2022
VIRGO SEASON (17 September — 17 October)
There is a possibility that a conflict will break out in Virgo Season that involves a ‘Red’ political party. The fights for the 2024 Presidential election will be very open during his season because of Jyeshta influence.
Jyeshta is one of the Nakshatra that is correlated with the battle for power. The ruling deity of this Nakshatra is Lord Indra, who is the leader/king of the Devas. Lord Indra was known for his protectiveness over his throne to the point where he became very insecure about anyone who threatens to take it away from him. So in this season, there might be vulgar or obvious insecurity that’s shown by one of the senior leaders of a political party or a senior politician about them on the brink of losing their power.
During this season, there might also be child abuse/sexual harassment that will come out, along with a scandal related to incest.
Since Jupiter is retrograding in Uttara Bhadrapada and opposite from him would be Mercury Retrograde in Virgo, there might be either a market crash or a gold crash that could happen. Another possibility was a hacking attempt on a savings account or a famous bank.
There might be an event where a group of people or someone with power/influence was disrespected that led to a big conflict where the person who disrespects this group/person was threatened to be killed.
There is also a possibility that there will be a policy change regarding debt like Pinjaman Online (Online Lending Money service) that makes it harder to operate.
During this season, the demonstration will likely happen but might not be as big as in the previous 2 (two) seasons.
As for disaster, there might be a destructive flood happening during this season. There might be a shooting or a fight that caused someone to die because of bickering or someone mocking the perpetrator. Drought is also possible to happen during this season which causes failed harvests in several places, especially in the Southern part of Indonesia.
There is also an indication that an earthquake will happen that might be big in terms of the SR but with minimum casualties. The Earthquake might happen in North West or Southeast direction of Indonesia. The earliest date this Earthquake might happen will be from 25th to 28th September 2022.
UPDATE — OCT 10th 2022
LIBRA SEASON (17th October —17th November)
Libra Season will be another season that feels like the Virgo one. There will be something that happens in Virgo Season that will follow up in the Libra Season. Moon will be in Pushya when the season starts, this could indicate that there is a big highlight on dairy products such as milk, cheese, etc. Indonesia might benefit from this product as well. But Pushya is still Saturn’s Nakshatra, so for sure, the financial problem will be continuing in this season. Not to mention the fact that Indonesia will be affected by the upcoming Total Lunar Eclipse and Saturn will aspect Moon in Cancer from Capricorn which signifies a disturbed mind. Take care of your own mental health throughout this season as people might easily get depressed, especially due to monetary problems. There might be a scandal related to a religious institution or cult that might involve children. A change could happen in terms of regulations for religious institutions or law in general. There is a possibility that laws regarding music or arts might be discussed. Something that could possibly happen was a new law regarding speculative business and managing people’s money. There might be a scandal related to money laundering and corruption that might surface and surprise people.
The government might be planning to build something regarding travel or the transportation sector but this plan might backfire or disappoint a lot of people. There might be an event where someone might be punched or killed by someone else due to disrespect by kept insulting this person. There might be several shooting incidents in this season and demonstration, especially once Mars starts Retrograding. Everyone will be angry and this angriness can be directed towards police or military bodies because Mars is them. Every time Mars Retrograde in Gemini-Taurus, there’s a war involved and this time will definitely be about Russia-Ukraine. Funny thing was, the last time Mars Retrograde in Taurus, Indonesia was busy with this separatist movement, so probably it will happen again. I am concerned about the possibility of a terrorist movement surfacing during this period. There probably going to be several wind-related disasters during Libra season.
The conflict in Iran will probably become bigger since Mars Retrograde will transit over Iran’s Natal Moon. Iran does have a problem with Women since the country’s chart has Venus-Ketu conjunction in Aquarius.
